Its owner John Robertson has assembled a team of friendly, talented artists with years of experience, covering a range of tattoo styles.

Born and bred in Hartlepool, our artists are passionate about what they do and are proud of the town we live in and its heritage.

The name of the shop was born from the towns history, the story and legend of the Hung Monkey. During the Napoleonic Wars of the 19th century, a shipwrecked monkey was hung by the people of Hartlepool believing it to be French spy!

Some say the monkey survived its ordeal and is alive and well in Hartlepool, plotting its revenge on the people of Hartlepool!
